SHOULD ADDING MORE MEMORY SPEED UP MY COMPUTER?
I hit a slightly senior Compaq Presario SR1103WM. I hit Windows XP Home Edition and hit 248 MB of RAM in it. I undergo that the advisable RAM for XP is 512, 256 at the least, so my machine runs slightly slower. I poverty to add 512 MB to alter it up to 760 MB. I feature that Presarios separate to amass a lot of extra data. I separate Disk Cleanup most erst a hebdomad and defragment my C intend most erst a month, so that helps discover a little. One of my problems is, I exclusive hit most a 40 GB hornlike drive, and exclusive most 20 GB free. I poverty more than that, but I’m not trusty what to do most it. Should the module help, and what can I do most the hornlike intend situation?

Most computer users have been trained that if you want more speed for your computer, then add more memory. Well, this is true, in certain circumstances. But for most of the times, it really is just bad files in your registry files. Corrupted or missing registry files can make your computer too slow.
The registry is a main part of your computer’s Operating System. With time, as you use Windows and install and uninstall programs, your registry will get congested and full of errors. So your computer could slow down. So, if you can clean it up this problem can be solved.Sometimes you can speed computer up by 300%. To clean up registry,You can download a software called regsitry cleaner—Clean registry, remnant, corrupt files and temp files,history,cookies,etc.. This site:http://fix-slow-computer.info

Far more better than any Anti-Virus …
Hello. Yes, 248 RAM is not that much but your computer should be able to run at a sufficient speed. Before you get the RAM, try to delete as many unneccesary programs as you can (and make sure they are deleted from C://Program Files). Then run a spyware/adware scan. Run a virus scan. Run disk cleanup and defragmenter. I usually find that doing this can really boost my computers speed. If none of that works, add another 256 stick. If the computer does not run sufficiently fast with 512, it is not the RAM.
to me with the hard drive issue i would buy either a new HD or a external HD to get more space and yes the ram will speed your PC up A LOT! 256 is just not to todays standards of PC’s even personal use is recommended 512mb of RAM but if you have any more questions you can email me at aarongillis@computertechcentral.net
